Safety and Loss Administrator

  • Join an electric distribution cooperative that is member driven and community focused
  • Working primarily at our Operations Center and Headquarters facility in Melrose, MN. Occasional work in our Branch Office facility in St. Joseph and in our service territory.
  • This position supports and advances the Cooperative’s safety, loss prevention, compliance, emergency preparedness, and business continuity efforts.
  • Starting wage can range from $38.75 - $51.70 per hour with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans upon eligibility.
 
In this role, you will:
  • Coordinate safety training, meetings, and new employee safety orientation
  • Maintain safety, compliance, training records and documentation
  • Support inspections, audits, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-up
  • Help administer workers’ compensation, insurance, and loss prevention processes
  • Support emergency response planning, drills, and business continuity activities
  • Partner with leaders and employees across departments to promote safe work practices
  • Assist with community safety education and internal safety communication efforts
 
Preferred qualifications:
  • Associate degree in safety, business, human resources, occupational health, or a related field preferred. Relevant safety, operations, utility, or administrative experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Experience in workplace safety coordination, compliance, claims support, training, human resources, operations support, utility operations, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business systems.
