Class Description:
In the 2018/2019 legislative session, Minnesota passed the Wage Theft Law. These laws will impact every employer who has one or more employees. Chad Staul will provide a brief overview of the new law, including the increased administrative and record keeping requirements (such as Employee Notice Requirements and Revised Earnings Statements), the DOLI’s expanded investigative authority, and new employee protections. Attendees will gain sufficient information to evaluate the changes needed in their workplace for compliance. Human resource staff, upper management, and business owners will especially benefit from this course.
Your Speaker:
Chad Staul is an employment and labor attorney at Quinlivan & Hughes, P.A. Chad advises clients on a variety of issues, ranging from employment policies, contracts and compliance to workplace investigations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other employee complaints.
