JOB SUMMARY
Position: Hope & Healing Store Assistant
Reports To: Hope & Healing Store Manager
Classification: Part-Time (10-15 hrs./week - starting $20/hour)
Other Contacts: Program Lead, Case Manager, H & H Store Interns (residents), All Staff, Vendors, Volunteers, and General Public.
Working in collaboration with the Hope & Healing Store Manager, the Hope & Healing Store Assistant is responsible for assisting in product production/inventory/sales and delegating tasks to the Hope & Healing Interns in accordance with the standards set out by the social enterprise policies/direction of the Store Manager. The H & H Store Assistant will assist the Interns to attain the highest degree of success and positive change toward employment readiness.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for knowing and carrying out the mission and purpose of Terebinth Refuge as determined by the Board of Directors.
- Provide interns with a safe and supportive environment; through functional, healthy, appropriate boundaries and balanced relationships, which demonstrate the love of Christ. All staff are responsible for assisting in promoting a high quality of learning, skill building and self-discovery for each client.
- Responsible for attending staff meetings, in-service workshops, continuing education to complete 20 hours yearly including CPR, and First Aid.
- In collaboration with the Hope & Healing Store Manager, the H & H Store Assistant may assist in the hiring process.
- Fill store orders as needed.
- Assist Interns to carry out the Hope & Healing Store product production.
- Assist and coordinate the daily work of Interns, including orientation/training.
- Communicate and keep H & H Store Manager informed in all areas of the store production including inventory/supply needs and any other challenges.
- Ensure the Hope & Healing Store workspace remains clean and orderly daily.
- Collaborates with Store Manager to promote creative product presentation designs, new marketing/promotional ideas and other ways to attract new customers.
- Open/close workspace as needed.
- Act as the lead onsite when the Store Manager is not present.
- Attend events when the Store Manager is not present.
- Assist in carrying out regular product inventory & maintaining general supplies.
- Make deliveries to the office/post office when directed.
- Order/pick-up products as directed.
- May assist in bank deposits.
- May deliver product to offsite locations.

- A High School Diploma or GED. Some college or pursuit of higher education preferred.
- Knowledge, experience, and willingness to grow in understanding of the operation of a successful small business.
- Ability to communicate with, motivate, instruct, guide individuals who are considered at-risk, trafficked, or exploited.
- Ability to coordinate Interns in the operations of the social enterprise program by being “firm, fair and consistent” in communication and actions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through verbal and written methods.
- Ability to take initiative, problem solve and make timely productive decisions.
- Ability to motivate people and maintain functional positive working relationships with co-workers, and Interns by using strength-based approaches and modeling appropriate problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of word processing programs and Microsoft Office programs preferred.
- Desire and ability to set personal goals to improve oneself, including a priority for self-care.
