CPRS (latine-focused/bilingual)

Position Overview

RCN is seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) to join our culturally specific recovery support team, serving the Latine community. This role uses lived experience with substance use and recovery to provide guidance, promote wellness, and inspire hope.

This position is funded by DHS with goals to:

• Establish culturally specific peer recovery support teams
   

• Design and deliver culturally tailored recovery services
   

• Promote recovery and wellness through culturally responsive outreach
   

• Implement data and sustainability systems
   

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group peer recovery support tailored to Latine community members.
   

• Deliver peer coaching, group circles, workshops, and at least one community event per quarter.
   

• Develop culturally specific recovery programs and resources.
   

• Engage community partners (e.g., healthcare providers, shelters) and host quarterly outreach meetings.
   

• Conduct culturally relevant media outreach (social media, radio campaigns, presentations, storytelling).
   

• Track services in RCN databases, collect community feedback, and contribute to sustainability planning.
   

• Participate in team meetings, training, and supervision.
   

• Promote dignity, respect, and hope in all interactions.
   

Required Qualifications

• Lived experience with substance use and recovery, with at least one year in recovery.
   

• Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) or willingness to pursue certification.
   

• Fluency in Spanish and lived understanding of Latine cultural experiences.
   

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work respectfully with diverse populations.
   

• Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel within the community.
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing peer support or recovery coaching.
   

• Familiarity with Latine community resources and culturally relevant recovery services.
   

• Comfort with data tracking and reporting tools and/or willingness to learn.
