Location: St. Cloud, MN | Full-time | Exempt | Reports to: Executive Director
Compensation: $65,000–$100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications


Position Summary
Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity (CMHFH) is seeking a skilled and mission-driven Administrative Director to oversee the financial and administrative operations of the organization. This salaried role is based on 3/4 to full time (30–40 hours/week) and is responsible for financial management, office systems, HR administration, and operational support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to our mission of affordable homeownership in our community.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight
  • Lead all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, general accounting, cash flow, and reporting
  • Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial reports
  • Oversee payroll processing and year-end reporting (W-2s, 1099s)
  • Manage outside audit processes and asset/depreciation tracking
  • Support loan and mortgage leveraging and tracking
  • Assist with grant financial reporting and compliance
Administrative Leadership
  • Supervise office operations and systems, including records and supplies
  • Oversee IT and phone systems, in consultation with the Executive Director
  • Maintain affiliate insurance policies and renewals
  • Ensure organizational compliance with HFHI Covenant standards
  • Coordinate updates and maintenance of organizational documents and records
Human Resources Support
  • Assist with personnel recruitment and onboarding
  • Maintain confidential personnel files and HR documentation
  • Support benefits administration and employee communication
General Administrative Duties
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Draft, proofread, and edit internal and external communications
  • Provide support for special projects and research initiatives
  • Greet visitors in a professional and hospitable manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive administrative support experience (executive-level preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) or other accounting software
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and reporting
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and discretion with confidential information

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations
  • Familiarity with Habitat for Humanity operations, loans, or mortgage processes
  • Experience supporting grant reporting or compliance processes
