WORK HOURS:
6.75 hours per day (8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.), Monday through Friday for 172 contact days (170 student contact days plus 2 inservice days during the school year)

JOB DUTIES:
Duties may include:
1.  Assist student(s) with special needs in the classroom (e.g., behavior management, social skills, crisis intervention and instruction in basic skills).
2.  Supervise special education student(s) to ensure safety.
3.  Assist with collecting and monitoring of student progress data.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1.  High School diploma
2.  Considered a Highly Qualified Paraprofessional or willing to become a Highly Qualified Paraprofessional within the first 6 months of
      employment (please attach post secondary transcripts or passing test scores from the ParaPro or ParaEducator Assessment to your application)
3.  Additional post secondary training relevant to children.
4.  Acceptance of students' disabilities and limitations.
5.  Must be able to lift, pull, or move a minimum of 50 pounds.
6.  Accepts direction from supervising teacher(s) and is willing to work as a team.

SALARY:
Based on the 2022-2023 Paraprofessional Agreement salary schedule of Level V, Step 2 at $17.89 per hour.
