The Performing Arts Director leads the artistic vision and management of performing arts programming at the Paramount Center for the Arts, overseeing event scheduling and bookings, long-range production planning, budget oversight, and box office operations. This role ensures strong communication across departments, cultivates relationships with artists and agents, and contributes to fundraising and community engagement efforts. Paramount Center for the Arts, located in downtown St. Cloud, MN, works to engage, educate, enrich, and entertain through inspiring arts experiences. This multidisciplinary art facility includes an 800-seat historic theatre – which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2021 – plus over 15,000 square feet of visual arts studios, three gallery spaces and the Gallery Gift Shop, featuring the works of over 80 local artists. As one of the largest arts organizations in Central Minnesota, the Paramount offers nearly 50 different stage presentations and 120 art classes each year, with a focus on delivering engaging arts experiences and community programs that inspire creativity and connection.
This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position (40 hours per week). Employee to work in the office, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 9am – 5pm, with the option to work remotely up to 8 hours each week (after one year of employment). Occasional nights and weekends required for some performances. Employee required to be on-site for some regular meetings. Annual salary commensurate with knowledge, experience, and work history.
