Summer Benefit 2011 - 1940s USO Show
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota’s 29th Annual Summer Benefit, “1940s USO Show” is a tribute to our military vintage style to celebrate the important programs we provide. This year’s event will be held on August 11, 2011, at the St. Cloud Civic Center from 5:30 – 9 p.m. Please spread the word of what’s happening that night to all your friends! Uncle Sam WANTS YOU to enlist for a great time on August 11th! Everyone will be doing the jitterbug to the boogie-woogie bugle boy and all the greatest hits from the 1940s with our band, The Canteens. The Andrews Sisters, The Saint Cloud Singing Saints’ barbershop quartet and even Bob Hope will make an appearance! We’ll have all the most delicious fare from the area’s finest restaurants, caterers and beverage vendors. Our silent auction has the largest selection of items – you’ll feel great about getting birthday and Christmas shopping done early, all the while supporting the important programs we provide to more than 6,000 young people. You can also plan your winter vacation with trips to Puerto Vallarta, South Padre Island, Ft. Lauderdale or even Southwest Airlines tickets to the destination of your choice! There is furniture, a dart board, home décor, gift certificates, art work and more! Tickets: $100 per individual, $150 percouple or $750 for a corporate sponsorship, which is 12 tickets and recognition at the event. We hope you’ll want to be a part of the festivities on August 11th.
