Social Work Supervision Workshop
Our workshop is designed for Licensed Social Workers who are interested in providing the mandated social worker supervision. The Minnesota Board of Social Work requires that licensing supervisors complete 30 hours of supervision-specific training and earn 6 supervision-specific continuing education hours each licensing period.
Every licensed social worker is required to complete supervision upon becoming licensed and engaged in social work. The length of supervision depends on a worker's employment status and generally runs at least two years and up to four years with 4-8 hours of supervision per month.
St. Cloud State University's 30-hour, supervision-specific training covers:
- General approaches to supervision
- Dimensions of the supervision relationship
- Delivery of supervision
- Professional responsibilities of supervisors
- Promoting the specialty of supervision through training and research
