Session III: Helping Employees Achieve Peak Performance (Required Course for Certificate)
Speaker: Gail Ivers, St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce
Every supervisor should conduct a performance planning session with each of his or her staff members. During this workshop participants will learn how to articulate what he or she expects the employee to achieve as stated in their position description* and during the next performance cycle. Knowing this, the supervisor can then communicate to the employee what is expected in terms of performance and how that performance will be appraised at the end of the performance cycle (*Writing an effective job description is covered in "Hiring for Retention.")
