LinkedIn and Power Networking A Path to Success

Are you unemployed? Afraid you might be? Have you wondered how you can take advantage of the online social networking sites to help find that next, critical position? Join us on Tuesday, June 2 from 8 – 10 a.m. at the Chamber of Commerce, 110 S. 6th Avenue, for LinkedIn & Power Networking – A path to success. This program will provide an overview of how to focus a career or job search by setting goals and effectively using the tools available. We will discuss networking, associations, recruiters, LinkedIn and how to create your own viral marketing campaign! You will walk out with connections and a plan of attack for your future. This program is specifically targeted to people who are in an active job search, but anyone who would like to learn more about these job-search tools is welcome. Seating is limited. This program is free and open to the public as long as registrations are received by the May 29 deadline.

Our SpeakerBeth-Alison Berggren was the Business Unit Director and then Director of Product Development for Stearns in Sauk Rapids. Stearns was acquired by the Coleman Company, Inc in 2008 which resulted in more than 200 layoffs. Beth-Alison has an MBA in Marketing from St. Thomas University and 15 plus years of executive level experience prior to Stearns as well as having started and owned two of her own businesses. Post acquisition, Beth-Alison used a process of power networking and was able to find multiple opportunities to consult, was elected to the board of Camp Get-A-Well-A, a non-profit headquartered in the Twin Cities and then recently accepted a position as the Director of Marketing for Crest Healthcare in Dassel, MN.
