Initiative Foundation Hosts Exporting Workshop
LITTLE FALLS, MN - In an effort to emphasize the importance exporting can have on the sustainability and growth of local businesses, the Initiative Foundation is hosting Exporting Basics and Beyond: Giving Businesses Solid Steps to Go Global from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 12 in Little Falls.
After a keynote address by Katie Clark, Minnesota Trade Office executive director, participants will receive information about the planning and financial resources that public and private organizations offer, related to exporting. After a networking lunch, participants will hear from a panel of area business leaders that have successfully expanded into international markets. Closing remarks and panel moderation will be provided by Dr. Earl Potter, St. Cloud State University president and Initiative Foundation trustee.
“Our region is poised to achieve significant economic development through international business expansion,” said Kathy Gaalswyk, Initiative Foundation president. “Every successful global partnership can bring new capital and new jobs to both entities as well as the communities around them.”
Business leaders who are interested in exploring exporting or want to learn about the resources that are available, are encouraged to attend. Registration is $45 and includes lunch and materials. To register visit: www.ifound.org or contact Sharon Gottwalt at 320-632-9255 or sgottwalt@ifound.org. Deadline to register is October 5th.
