About the speaker...
Denny Smith, a former teacher and coach, has been conducting diversity training
sessions since 2010. During Minnesota’s quest for marriage equality he actively
championed the cause by conducting numerous workshops, engaging in countless
courageous but civil conversations with allies and those opposed. He spent hours
going door to door engaging in meaningful dialogue, always in a non-threatening
manner. He met personally with politicians, religious leaders, and people from all
walks of life working for systemic change.
Teaching this skill set is the cornerstone of Creating Cultural Competence.
Participants will leave the seminar armed with confidence and skills that can be
put to use immediately to foster harmony and understanding in the workplace.
