The Path to Home Ownership

Ever wonder how people afford their first home, how much house they can realistically buy, or whether they qualify for a mortgage?

The SCSU Center for Economic Education (CEE) invites community members to join us for The Path to Homeownership, a free educational session led by mortgage loan officers from St. Cloud Financial Credit Union.

Whether you're hoping to buy a home in the near future or simply want to better understand the homebuying process, this session will provide practical information and an opportunity to get your questions answered by local professionals.

You'll learn about:

• Mortgage qualification and affordability
• Credit scores and their impact on homebuying
• Down payment assistance and first-time homebuyer programs
• Closing costs and monthly payments
• The steps involved in purchasing a home, from prequalification to closing
