Supervisor Development Certificate Program 2015

This program is designed for the new supervisor, one who has received limited supervisor training, or one who needs to strengthen his or her leadership skills.  Effective supervisors must possess manydifferent qualities such as flexibility, strong leadership skills, and commitment to goals.  Supervisors are often seen as teachers, counselors and mentors.  Through the Supervisor Development Program at the St. Cloud Area Chamber, we offer you seven courses in seven distinct areas that will give you the necessary tools to become a more effective supervisor.  In order to receive the Supervisor Development certificate, you are required to attend at least six of the seven courses offered.  Five of the courses offered are required, enabling you to choose between two elective courses to completethe series.  Both electives can be selected at an additional cost of $65.

Session II: Hiring for Retention, Speaker: Lynn Holmvig, GNP Company - Thursday, March 5, 8 - 10:30 a.m. 
Session III:  Helping Employees Achieve Peak Performance, Speaker: Gail Ivers, St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce - Thursday, March 26, 8 - 10:30 a.m.  
Session IV: Conflict Management, Speaker: Bruce Miles, Big River Group - Tuesday, March 31, 8 - 11 a.m.
Session V: Supervising Others-A Team Approach, Speaker: Nancy Myers, GNP Company - Thursday, April 2, 8 a.m. - noon.

Session VI: Leadership in the Workplace, Speaker: Donelle Hintermeister, Automotive Parts Headquarters, & Gail Ivers, St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce - Thursday, February 6, 8 a.m. - noon.  
Session VII: Interpersonal Communication Skills for Managers, Speaker: Robin Robatcek, Anoka-Ramsey Community College - Thursday,April 16, 8 a.m. - noon.
