St. Cloud District #742 Information Session - Tuesday 10/20

On November 3, 2015, St. Cloud School District residents will be asked to vote on a Referendum that, if passed, will provide $167 million for a new Technical High School, a fully renovated Apollo High School, technology needs and safety provisions for students in the district.

This referendum will mean a 10-11% increase in commercial/industrial property taxes, which chamber members will be required to pay over 20 years.

One important fact to note, is that if the $167 million referendum does not pass, the district is facing $140 million of critical maintenance and replacement of dilapidated facilities over the next 10 years.  About $125 million of that amount will need to be levied out of necessity and without a citizen vote, so that we can continue to use the existing Technical and Apollo High School buildings as they exist currently.
