The biggest oil rush in the nation has brought unprecedented wealth and opportunity to North Dakota. People are flocking to the region for jobs, doubling the population of some communities in the last decade. Businesses are moving crews to North Dakota to take advantage of the desperate need for housing, construction, financing, infrastructure, transportation, food service, and entertainment. North Dakota State Senator Lonnie Laffen (District 43), will discuss the outlook of the energy explosion and the long-term sustainability forecast. He will address public planning issues and highlight unique incentives for companies to do business in North Dakota.
Jannelle Combs, a Leonard, Street and Deinard Energy attorney based in Bismarck, will discuss the opportunities that exist and how to navigate in this new territory. She will offer helpful legal considerations for new and existing businesses that want to do business in North Dakota.
