Lunchtime Learning: Tax Law Changes for Small Businesses
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act passed in December 2017 was the largest tax legislation in years. We will discuss the bill’s impact on small business owners both from the business standpoint and from their personal income tax return standpoint. The new tax bill presents opportunities for tax planning and entity planning. We will also briefly discuss the impact the tax bill has on the state of Minnesota.
What was once an interest in working with numbers has grown into an enjoyment of working with people for partner Pat Plamann. He brings a wealth of experience to the table, including a master’s degree in business taxation from the University of Minnesota. Pat believes that listening to what the clients want and understanding their needs, along with the “work hard, laugh hard” attitude of the employees, are keys to Schlenner Wenner & Co.’s successful service. He has over 17 years of experience in public accounting, and became a partner in 2008.
