Ethics: Accountability
AM Session – 4 Credits
We need to reset our ethics awareness buttons continuously. In today’s environment, the typical workplace attitude is to avoid being associated with the ethics violations. Agents, employees, and management are aware that they can be held personally liable for their actions and therefore accountability avoidance becomes the norm. “Little white lies” and, “my boss told me to” are an acceptable excuse. We will discuss three positive, proactive steps to establish and maintain an ethical workplace.
Trends in Property/Casualty Insurance
PM Session- 4 Credits
We have seen more changes in the home and auto policy than ever before. What has happened to cause these changes and where are we heading? What lines of insurance do our companies consider profitable now and in the future? What is the impact of storm losses on our property book of business and what changes are our companies making to return to profitability?
We keep hearing of autonomous vehicles, what impact do we see from those on our book of business?
Are collision avoidance features driving rates up or down?
