The ability to resolve conflicts with one another is a critical life skill, especially in today’s divisive world. This course is designed for supervisors who wish to understand, appreciate, and productively resolve conflict. Many leaders avoid conflict to create the appearance of harmony. What they do not realize is that by avoiding conflict they are unknowingly creating internal disruption amongst employees. A leader must be expected to minimize conflict, not allow it to grow and run rampant.
This course covers the following professional development topics:
Approaching conflict as a process
Identifying different types of conflicts
Minimizing the negative consequences of unresolved conflict
Contributing to an open, collaborative work environment
This course can be taken in person at SCTCC or remotely via Zoom.
