2016 Brainerd Lakes Susan G Komen Race For The Cure

Midsota Plastics & Reconstructive Surgeons, PA is sponsoring the 2016 Brainerd Lakes Susan G Komen Race for The Cure! Participants may choose to run in the 5K, walk a 5K, or walk a 1 mile course with commemorative T-shirts to all, along with eligibility for door prizes. 5K Runners also receive age group awards. If they can’t participate physically or cannot attend, people may enter as a Spirit Runner and still support the event and receive a T-shirt. Since July of 2000, the annual Susan G. Komen Brainerd Lakes Race for the Cure® has been one of our biggest fundraisers. It is held inconjunction with the Community Action 4th of July celebrations, on the last Saturday in June. Saturday, June 25 7:00 am - 8:00 am - Same Day Registration & Packet Pick-Up 7:00 am - Sponsor Tents & Shop for the Cure Open 8:00 am - Survivor Photo followed by Survivor Recognition Ceremony 8:35 am - Dove Release (see details below) 8:45 am - 5K (3.1 miles) Race (USA T&F MN-06039-RR) 8:47 am - 5K & 1Mile Walks 9:45 am - Awards Ceremony & Door Prizes REGISTRATION DEADLINES ONLINE: (preferred method)November through noon on June 22nd By Mail: Complete a printed or downloaded form and mail to be Postmarked By Friday, June 17, with check made out to: Brainerd Lakes, PO Box 1057, Brainerd MN 56401In Person:June 24 & June 25, Forestview Middle School All Participants Receive: • Race shirt to 1st 2000 registered • Free refreshments & give-aways 5K Race Awards: • Top 3 Women & Men overall • Top 3 “Breast Cancer Survivors” • 1st Place Master Survivor (age 40-54) • 1st Place Senior Survivor (age 55+) • Medals (#) in each age group for women & men:=<13 (3), 14-18 (3), 19-29 (3), 30-39 (3), 40-49 (3), 50-59 (3), 60+ (3) *Age Group medals will be picked up at the Timing Tent attheconclusion of the Race. • Awards to 1st Men’s & Women’s Teams; Ribbons to fastest 7 members oftop 3 teams. 5K Team members must be registered by June 25 • Results will be posted on www.komenbrainerdlakes.org and on www.raceberryjam.com.
