Driver Team Lead

Executive Express is a Minnesota Based passenger transportation company. The firm specializes in providing transportation in many formats to people all across Central/Western Minnesota including: Black Car / Luxury Bus Service, Private Event Charters, Employee Transportation, Same Day Delivery Service and Airport Transfers. Executive Express also has an Iowa Branch that transports passengers to/from the Des Moines airport from multiple Central Iowa cities.

Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for scheduling, communicating, and training of all drivers (new and current). The Driver Team Leader will still have the role of being a driver for Executive Express, as needed.

Primary Tasks:
• Assist in completing all initial training for new drivers. This includes a minimum of 2 shadow runs and a driving test in a 14 passenger vehicle
• Training on pre and post trip vehicle inspections.
• Assist in the driver training aspect at “All-Staff” meetings
• Assist in coordinating and holding driver quarterly safety trainings.
• Assist in training the driver on vehicle maintenance and upkeep to Executive Express expectations.
• Instruct new drivers on how to properly fill out paperwork/trip reports and the process of filing this paperwork.
• Train new drivers on how to make a reservation in our system and other technology enhancements as they arrive.
• Be a coach/mentor for drivers.
• Assist the General Manager with writing and giving disciplinary action and driver reviews.
• Spot check vehicles – checking fluids levels, cleanliness (interior and exterior), accidents/damage, etc.
• Insures garage and grounds are clean and adequate supplies are on hand
• Ride along with all drivers a minimum of three times a year, or as needed.
• Post Accident ride along with Driver to document retraining for insurance purposes
• Will coordinate Lost and Found process of passenger belongings to get the item back to them quickly.
• Following company policies and procedures.
• Will be a backup driver for open shifts as necessary
• Able to change out light bulbs, wiper blades and miscellaneous vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Coordinates vehicle maintenance with Fleet Mechanic.
• Participates in the Interview Process of Driver Applicants.
• Will be a backup to Administrative functions/Dispatching as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
To be eligible for this position you must be a driver with a safe driving record.
Must have, or be able to get, a Class B CDL with passenger and airbrake endorsements.
Have a DOT Medical Health Card
Minimum 23 years old
Support Company on all Compliance issues related to drivers.

Driver Team Leaders must maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Bending, twisting, squatting, crouching, and kneeling
• Operating assigned equipment
• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity; and exposure to dust, fumes, and gasses.

Computer skills such as internet research (mapping), word processing, and comfort working in our Hudson reservation-database system are essential.
