Job Description
Position: Driver Recruiter & Training          

Reports to:  Safety Team Lead
Position Summary:
*50% of the work week the Driver Recruiter will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, securing & closing the deal to bring on new drivers to Brenny (outside recruiting/hunting). Two to Four overnight trips per month
*50% of the work week will include phone calls, PR visits, relationship building & training with newly hired drivers (inside recruiting/farming).
Driver Recruiter Expectations:
  1. Responsible for prospecting, pursuing, interviewing, securing and hiring potential drivers, and all administrative duties involved with such *Focusing on Brenny’s Champion standard of professional drivers. Recruiting drivers that are in line with Brenny’s Road Map To Success. Understanding and selling The Brenny Culture.
  2. In person recruiting visits to prospective drivers. This will require some traveling to truck stops, rest areas, schools, technical colleges, employment offices, job fairs, truck shows, etc. Develop and maintain contacts with schools, employment agencies. Develop and maintain contacts with schools and other public organizations to find and attract qualified truck driver applicants.
  3. *A minimum of 25+ Champion (cold call) calls per week.
  4. Calling new drivers daily to qualify. *Conduct on the spot interviews and hiring *Conduct necessary background checks. Using social media as a tool.
  5. Build professional relationships with new and existing drivers *Assess where drivers may need more training.
  6. Work closely with team members, operations team, safety, business service department, maintenance team communicating driver’s expectations to involved team members.
  7. Ensure all new Drivers meet DOT & company qualification and safety standards. 
  8. Maintain and keep track of driver historical recruiting records in provided software program.
  9. Resolve driver concerns, develop solutions, and make recommendations to operations and management. Helping to maintain new drivers and keep Brenny’s driver retention goals met.
  10. Submit activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual recruiting analyses. Document all recruiting efforts.
  11. Must be able to conduct recruiting presentations to individuals as well as groups. Responsible for up to date content of recruiting material. Set up, attend and host 4+ trade shows or recruiting events a year.
  12. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending company meetings, educational classes, networking events, chamber events, seminars and reviewing industry related publications.
  13. Ability to attend some events after hours, willingness to be gone some overnight/weekends. Company car or mileage reimbursement.
  14. Work with management team to understand staffing needs.
  15. Achieve and maintain company goals by recruiting an expected amount of drivers per week/month. Must be a self accountable and individually driven to deliver RESULTS!
  16. Other duties as directed by Team Leads, Manager, & Owners.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

*Motivated every day to get out of bed and recruit drivers!!
*Intense desire for increasing driver pool & meeting recruiting goals
*College degree or 2-4 years work experience, recruiting training helpful
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
*Above average communication skills

*Valid driver's license and a car that can be used for work.

Ideal candidate must have experience in the recruiting of truck drivers and be capable of managing all aspects of the recruiting effort. This includes advertising, budgeting, interviewing, orientation, mentoring, training and retention.
