HVAC Technician
Job Summary:
The HVAC technician will complete daily HVAC jobs as assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Ensure all equipment is at the job site prior to the start of each install or remodel

Perform service calls in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including checking in with dispatch before, during and after each call

Participate in training provided including communication skills and technical training

Estimate the cost of each assigned job, offer the customer multiple options and review with clients
-
Offer our membership program to each customer, often signing up new members
-
Inspect the condition of existing HVAC equipment (including furnaces, AC, boilers, garage heaters, etc.); repair as needed per the Service Call Procedure as outline in the SOPs

Clean HVAC components such as blowers, coils, filters, and grills
-
Conduct performance tests on all types of HVAC systems and equipment
-
Troubleshoot and install all residential and commercial heating and cooling systems

Duct cleaning
-
Install duct work and other HVAC products in remodels, basement finishes, and occasional new constructions

Commercial boiler repair and change outs
-
Commercial and residential water heater repair and change out; success with upgrading to high efficiency units

Coordinate jobs with home owners, project managers, or outside contractors
-
Assist other HVAC technicians with cost changes and quote revisions
-
Cross train with plumbers and perform assigned jobs as scheduled

Maintain vehicle, watch mileage for oil changes, report any vehicle issues

Maintain a clean, organized and well stocked truck (daily inventory review)

Return unused material to appropriate location at the shop

Minimize all trips to purchase equipment, parts or materials

Help keep the shop clean and organized

Follow occupational health and safety regulations

Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
-
Previous HVAC experience required
-
High school diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, crawl, reach, push, pull, and climb as needed to perform work.
