Job Title:       Sales Manager
Division:       St. Cloud Area Convention and Visitors Bureau
Exemption Status:     Exempt
Job Summary:      Sales Manager is responsible for representing the Convention and Visitors Bureau and its stakeholders through direct sales targeted at drawing meetings and conventions to the St. Cloud Area. This position will be focused on meetings and conventions for groups with up to 250 in attendance.

Essential Job Duties - Position requirements include but are not limited to the following:
1. Participates in the development of and works to attain assigned individual and team sales goals.
2. Develops annual marketing plan for the assigned markets.
3. Works with the Marketing Specialist to fulfill marketing placements for assigned sales markets.
4. Analyzes and develops strategies for selling within assigned markets.
5. Researches assigned market segments, gathers relevant data, and organizes information in iDSS.
6. Executes sales strategies in a professional manner to include phone calls, email communications, written correspondence, site inspections, presentations, tradeshows, etc.
7. Distributes sales leads to appropriate facilities via the iDSS partner interface.
8. Communicates holds, booked or lost business via the iDSS partner interface.
9. Prepares sales proposals for business that is being pursued and presents in the manner specified by the client.
10. Participates in the planning/execution of events as required.
11. Follows up with client surveys and event pick up at the conclusion of events.
12. Maintains a professional and supportive working relationship with clients and constituents.
13. Maintains digital sales assets with the sales team on Visit Greater St. Cloud’s website
14. Maintains a well-informed working knowledge of area facilities, amenities and services.
15. Maintains a familiarity with competing areas and issues that impact the CVB’s ability to obtain business.
16. Takes the lead on client services to establish needs and required execution.
17. Interacts with the services coordinator to effectively service groups and handle other responsibilities as required.
18. Promotes good will towards the CVB among stakeholders and the community at large.
19. Represents Visit Greater St. Cloud and is actively involved with Associations North.
20. Participates in and contributes to a local service club and/or industry related organizations.
