Program Specialist for Entrepreneurship

Pay Range: $50,500-55,500 with excellent benefit package, depending on qualifications 

Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt 

Reports to: Initiators Fellowship Program Manager 

Teams: Staff, Entrepreneurship 

 

Position Summary:  The Program Specialist for Entrepreneurship provides core support for the Foundation’s entrepreneurship programs and services, primarily for the Initiators Fellowship, alongside providing executive support to the VP for Inclusive Entrepreneurship, general planning and administrative support. A strong commitment to the vision, mission and values of the Foundation is essential as we work together to serve the communities of central Minnesota.? 

 

Responsibilities:  

  1. Initiators Fellowship Program Support (60%): Leads support for the Initiators Fellowship at the direction of the program manager. Assists with program design, planning and execution for current cohorts. Assists with recruiting and selection for future cohorts. Leads coordination, preparation, logistics and setup for all events - multi-day convenings and special events such as the Brain Trust and Finalists Day, as well as in-person and virtual gatherings and trainings. Participates in training and convening sessions to support Fellowship Program Manager, consultants, Initiators and mentors. Leads communication and technical support for Initiators for training participation and professional development needs. Supports contractors and vendors by preparing contracts and processing invoices. Tracks, analyzes and supports the presentation of program data for external stakeholders and funders. 

  1. Entrepreneurship Programs Support (25%): Provides support to the Enterprise Academy Program Officer in recruiting, preparing for and delivering the program. Provides support to the Entrepreneurship Programs Officer in coordinating technical assistance and tracking and managing data and requests.  

  1. Executive Support (10%): Provides communications, calendaring, expense processing, and administrative support to VP for Inclusive Entrepreneurship; supports entrepreneurship special projects and initiatives.  

  1. General Duties/General Office Support (5%): Supports all-staff projects and initiatives. Maintains a working knowledge of office systems and processes. Serves as back-up to other administrative staff and provides assistance as needed. Serves as back-up for assigned core functions. 

 

Minimum Requirements: Position requires two years post-secondary education and three years’ experience in administrative support, nonprofits, sociology, social work or related fields, or equivalent of education and experience. Position requires a valid driver’s license and insurance coverage or access to reliable transportation.? 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  This position calls for knowledge of program delivery, combined with a strong aptitude for project and administrative support including task management, logistics, database management, reporting, and event planning. This work is communication-driven and people-centered. The most important skills include strong and responsive oral and written communication, and the ability to plan and track complex projects and events. The ideal candidate is capable of executing plans while being able to be creative, adaptable and able to work through challenges as they emerge. Procedures and time management abilities needed with strong customer-service skills. This work is done in close relationship with communities of color. An ideal candidate has an understanding of and desire for continued growth around cultural competencies. 

Location: This position’s home office is in Little Falls, MN, and requires a portion of worktime in the office. As a hybrid workplace employer, this position allows for some Central Minnesota-based remote work.
