Position: Specialized Coordinator              
                                   
Position Summary: Specialized Coordinator reports to the Team Lead.  Specialized Coordinator primary responsibility is to keep Brenny Specialized trucks loaded.  Dealing with Brenny drivers, customer service and handling all details involved with coordination of such.
 
Hours: 7:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-4:00pm Friday. Hours based on Individual level.
 
Position Expectations (may include but not limited to):
  1. Accountable for providing GRAND CHAMPION customer service.
  2. Responsible for driver communication, check calls, appointments, etc
  3. Responsible for improving on time pickup and delivery scores.
  4. Verbally dispatching drivers to pickup & delivery sites, giving directions, instructions and securing of all necessary information for dispatch.
  5. Accountable for getting drivers extra miles when time allows.
  6. Work closely with drivers to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
  7. Monitor driver miles in coordination with Customer Service to achieve maximum productivity.
  8. Coordinate with team driver home time.
  9. Helping drivers with questions, comments or concerns.
  10. All end of day duties – emailing, yard checks, etc
  11. Tracking miles for driver payroll.
  12. Responsible for calling customers & brokers to solicit freight when needed.
  13. Handling drivers in a professional manner, always.
  14. Work close with Specialized dispatch team, as well as brokerage department, business service department, safety department, attend safety meetings, educational seminars & classes.
  15. Verify all information on each load with Customer Service & Driver including pricing, current loads & delivery information.
  16. Maintain better than average communication with office team & drivers.
  17. Keying in loads, getting directions & hours for pickup and delivery locations.  Giving ETA for pickup and delivery to appropriate locations as directed.
  18. Having the courage to deliver results!
  19. Work towards achieving and maintaining company goals.  This will be done by each person keeping Brenny Trucks loaded and taking every opportunity to add partials to shipments, there for increasing cents per mile and profit margin.
  20. Some weekend work may be required.  Be willing to make & receive calls from drivers after hours. 
  21. Relay any & all change of performance and/or attitude of drivers to the owners and/or manager.
  22. Other duties as directed by Team Leader, Manager, and Owners.
 
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
*College degree or 2-4 years work experience
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
*Above average communication skills
*An understanding of the transportation industry, or desire to learn
*Self motivated & innovative – able to work with little supervision
*Able to multi task and prioritize task at hand
*Excellent Customer Service, phone skills, & data entry – computer skills
*Ability to work in a fast paced environment, with a smile on your face!
