Job Description
Freightliner of St. Cloud, Central Minnesota's Freightliner Dealership offering Parts, Service, Sales & Collision repair since 1963 is looking for an Office Assistant.  With two locations in St. Cloud and another in Brainerd, we are growing and are looking for candidates who want to join our team and help with that success! 

The Office Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Leasing Department by performing the following duties:
  • Issue checks & PO’s for lease repairs, answer phone calls on credit references, payoff’s, maintenance/lease account questions and maintain current lease reporting
  • Responsible for balancing customer leasing programs 
  • Track payments of lease accounts and monitor past due accounts 
  • Responsible for lease & maintenance statements which includes; mailing statements, calculating monthly interest, distribution of accrued interest and matching up debits and credits
  • Complete all necessary paperwork required to prepare a new or used lease for signing, this also includes the preparation, transfer or notice to state of title
  • Responsible for filing leasing information accurately enabling easy retrieval
  • Sets up accounts and bill customers for rentals, also produces monthly statements when necessary on older trucks and equipment rental
  • Receive notice of repossessions, responsible for stopping the lease payments and completing all of the paperwork and correspondence that is involved with a repossession
  • Pay annual federal hi-way use tax and issues 1099’s at year end
  • Responsible for managing debit card program and gas programs for customers
  • Acts as a back-up to the front desk receptionist, filling in when necessary
  • Assist Accounts Payable and Accounting in performing accounting tasks for the maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.  
  • Assist with miscellaneous tasks and projects as necessary or requested
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma or GED.  Previous office experience with bookkeeping/accounting experience is preferred.  Previous dealership and/or working knowledge of the trucking industry is very helpful.    Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.  Must be punctual, able to work with minimum supervision and have excellent attention to detail.  Must have working knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel), 10-key calculator.  Able to multi-task and complete work in an efficient manner.
