DESCRIPTION:Ageism is unlike any other form of prejudice\, and we are all at risk of experiencing it. Collaboration across generations is needed to end age-related biases and the culture wars that surround them.\n\n\n\nIn these three sessions\, Ayan Omar will facilitate an open learning opportunity through solutions-based dialogue on how to engage inclusively so as to be welcoming to all.\n\n\n\nSESSION 1\n\nWhat is Diversity\, Equity\, and Inclusion\, and why it is important for all? \n\n\n\nSESSION 2\n\nWhat is generational gap\, culture clash\, and how to respond without reacting? \n\n\n\nSESSION 3\n\nWhat is generational gap\, culture clash\, and how to respond without reacting. Group conversation\, how do we continue the Age-Friendly work together?\n\n\n\nSessions are offered in-person at Whitney Senior Center or virtually through Zoom. There is no cost to participate\, but you must pre-register. \n\n\n\nSessions are presented by Age-Flourishing St Cloud. Age-Flourishing St. Cloud supports a community in which all people at every age have opportunities to flourish in all dimensions of their lives while elevating the St. Cloud area.
