DESCRIPTION:Social Work Supervision\n\n\n\n	\n		\n			\n			WIOA Certified\n			\n			\n		\n	\n\n\nIs your agency able to provide the necessary supervision to new social workers?\n\nEngaged in professional development activities within your organization?\n\nIn a leadership/management role and seeking leadership training?\n\nOur workshop is designed for Licensed Social Workers who are interested in providing the mandated social worker supervision.  The Minnesota Board of Social Work requires that licensing supervisors complete 30 hours of supervision-specific training and earn six supervision-specific continuing education hours each licensing period.\n\nEvery licensed social worker is required to complete supervision upon becoming licensed and engaged in social work. The length of supervision depends on a worker's employment status and generally runs at least two years and up to four years with 4-8 hours of supervision per month. \n\nSt. Cloud State's 30-hour\, supervision-specific training covers:\n\n\n	General approaches to supervision\n	Dimensions of the supervision relationship\n	Delivery of supervision\n	Professional responsibilities of supervisors\n	Promoting the specialty of supervision through training and research\n\n\nWhy should you participate?\n\n30 hours of continuing education units \n\n\n	17 hours face-to-face\n	13 hours online\n\n\nQualifies and prepares Licensed Social Workers to supervise new social workers\n\nMeets the Minnesota Board of Social Work requirement for supervision training\n\nAppropriate for licensed social workers at any level - LSW\, LGSW\, LISW and LICSW
