This event will help raise money for and bring awareness to the work of the Central Minnesota Sexual Assault Center. \n\n \n\nin 2018\, the Central Minnesota Sexual Assault Center provided services to over 641 primary and secondary survivors. In serving victims of sexual violence\, sex trafficking and exploitation and child abuse the CMSAC provides a safe environment in which people of all ages and genders can heal from their trauma. Through education\, CMSAC also seeks to impact change in society's attitudes and institutions that will reduce and hopefully eradicate incidences of sexual violence.\n\nRegistration for the walk will begin at 8:30 am at Shear Dynamics Salon (65 3rd St.) The walk will begin shortly thereafter\, with participants traversing a 3-mile course that will take them around River's Edge Park and back to Shear Dynamics\, where there will be educational tables\, speakers and live music.\n\nIndividuals and teams are encouraged to become involved in this event. Walkers will receive event shirts as supplies last. Registration fee is $30\, and it's hoped walkers and teams can also raise additional funds through pledges.
