DESCRIPTION:Central Minnesota Manufacturers Association (CMMA) is pleased to announce the 2024 Central Minnesota Tour of Manufacturing during the month of October. The manufacturing industry in Minnesota has designated October as Manufacturing Month. \n\n\n\n \n\nTwelve tours will be in-person\, open house tours\, while ten organizations are directing people to their website or YouTube channel with the option of by-appointment tours. Tours cover numerous counties in central Minnesota\, with the majority being held in the St. Cloud area. They will offer a firsthand look at the high-tech world of manufacturing and are open to everyone\, including businesses\, communities\, job seekers\, and students. Central Minnesota has a great depth and breadth of manufacturers creating meaningful products that positively impact our world. \n\n \n\nCMMA prides itself in strengthening Central Minnesota by giving back all proceeds raised during Manufacturing Month. Proceeds will be used to develop school scholarships\, youth exploration\, and career pathways. Schools receive free membership in CMMA and can attend meetings for free.\n\n \n\nWhy is manufacturing so important to the Minnesota economy? \n\n\n	The manufacturing industry is a critically important part of Minnesota's diverse economy\, contributing $57.2 billion (12%) to the state's economy in 2023 - and making a wide range of products to improve the lives of people around the world - from medical devices to food to recreational vehicles and everything in between. \n	Manufacturing workers took home $25.7 billion in wages from Minnesota manufacturing jobs last year. \n	There is a big demand for people to work in manufacturing positions in Minnesota\, now and into the future - making it a strong career path choice. \n\n \n\nAbout CMMA\n\nCentral Minnesota Manufacturers Association (CMMA) is a membership organization serving the manufacturing industry in central Minnesota.
